I have no idea of the exact figures. AEK Athens published a week ago the full budget of the year but this is something that has not happened for the two big teams Olympiakos and Panathinaikos. Bare in mind that they are not publically traded companies i.e. they have no shareholders to answer to and thus their financial affairs are a closely guarded secret of the two millionaires that actually own them namely Mr. Kokalis for Olympiakos and Mr. Vardinoyiannis for Panathinaikos.

However we do have some idea as to where their main revenues are coming from and that would be TV deals with various Greek broadcasters for the domestic league as well as Champions League TV revenues. In Olympiakos' case with their brand new stadium built and finished, there is a considerable amount of money coming in from the sale of season tickets. This trend is only going to continue I suspect, with more and more people buying season tickets next year. This means that at some point in the very near future Olympiakos will have to do what every other major club in Europe has done and "close the books" on season tickets and open a waiting list for them. All the more so as the Karaiskaki stadium has a crowd capacity of 35,000 which does not compare favourably with say the English premiership club grounds.

I don't think that the revenues coming from the sale of various club items such as shirts, mugs, caps and so forth is worth mentioning as yet. Maybe in the near future.

I will have a look to see whether there is anything at all in the form of a budget published for our two main clubs but I doubt it.

Up until the Christmas break, Olympiakos has reportedly grossed 13 million euros. Cool

The Olympiakos basketball budget is a joke Laughing ,just look olympiakos position in the basketball league and you will understand why.
PAO has far for the second the biggest bughet in basketball .
The money intake for the big Greek Clubs (AEK , OSFP , PAO) are from Tv rights , sponsors and CL money and not from tickets as should be (alhough AEK and Olympiakos until now have won much more money from tickets than last years because has more than 20.000 people per matce).

Anfortunately the only numbers from the big clubs that we have are from AEK Athens .
The followings numbers are from 28/5 – 8/12/2004

Annual tichets:4.300.000 (AEK has the more annual tichet which now is around 17.500)
CL profits :930.000
footballer Kaspis sale profit:500.000
Tichets:1.700.000
Tv rights and sponsors:1.250.000 (before close the new sponsor contract with TIM for 1.500.000euro per year)
Total intake:8.680.000
Money from owners:5.000.000 (something typical in Greece the boss to give money from his pocket)
Total: 13.680.000

According to Ntemis Nikolaidis (AEK president from August and ex-footballer until Euro2004) interview in TV channel a organised Greek team can take the Greece champion with 7.000.000 euro (footballer bughet) and to compatitive the other european clubs in CL with 9.000.000 (footballer bughet ).

Now in Greece the footballer bughet should be without carculating the other team exhange (hotels , air tichets etc)

Olympiacos around 9.000.000 euro
PAO around 8.000.000 euro
AEK 5.000.000 euro and after new year will increase to 5.500.000 (last year 7.000.000 - 8.000.000 but because the serious economical problems made to minimise for this year to 5.000.000)
