I have not seen how construction is going on this arena since feb. Does anyone have any pictures of the inside of here or inside the Peristeri Boxing hall. |

To answer your question, no basketball team plays in the Hellinikon Indoor Hall, which is a pity. The reduction of the capacity from 14.500 to 8.000 had already been decided before the Olympics, as the nearby Peace and Friendship Stadium of equal capacity is more than enough. Thus, the upper tier was prefab so that it could be removed afterwards. It remains to be seen what will become of this marvellous hall. Until then, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are playing on December 4th, which may signify a whole new type of activities to be hosted in this hall apart from sport events. |

Well, it will be a waste of money only if we won't be able to take advantage of what we have made. It seems that there is high demand for the utilization of the coastal zone facilities, the highest among all Olympic facilities (even the OAKA complex). Whether they will be able to integrate this venue in the overall post-Olympic management plan is a question and a challenge at the same time. |
